Things to Know

Our entrance is on the west side of State Highway 78 South, about 100 yards north of the FM 68 intersection. Please DO NOT turn in at either of the homes with a driveway at “7624” or “7692” – our gate is on the pasture immediately BETWEEN those two homes (we are calling it “7626” for purposes of this event, but there’s no home or mailbox there) and will be marked with a flag or two.

Wear appropriate clothes! Nighttime temps here are typically 10-15 degrees lower than in Dallas, and it can be fairly breezy day or night.

We will build and stock several communal fire rings so that you and your fellow adventure seekers have a place to gather and visit during the evening. If you want to throw on some firewood and stay up later – great! Just be respectful of others who may have driven a long way to get here, and want to hit the sack early.

Wear appropriate shoes!  There is a small but real potential you might encounter venomous snakes and/or scorpions – especially at night… bug spray for your ankles might be a good idea as well.

Bring a tarp to put under your tent, in case the ground is damp.

Please no “camp fires” at your campsite/tent area. There are large patches of tall, dead grass all over the place. Cooking on a camp stove or with Sterno, etc. would be OK but PLEASE BE CAREFUL.
